The project engaged with more than 400 students ranging from Year 1 to 6. Throughout various collaborative sessions pupils constructed a time machine using up-cycled cardboard tubes and sheets decorated with images of the Queen and historical depictions of Skelmersdale. They also incorporated their own artwork and self portraiture to add a personal touch to the creation.

"Both children and staff loved the workshops you delivered for the Skelmersdale Heritage Project. The children were so excited to get to involved and had so much fun creating the artwork for the time machine. The project was spectacular and we had a great time attending the opening."
